This children’s willow weaving workshop is a hands-on activity where kids use flexible willow branches to create simple, beautiful and lasting objects like small baskets or bird-feeders. Guided by Tom Delaney of Ould Crafty, they learn how to bend, twist, and weave the natural material safely and easily.
This workshop is an opportunity for children to get creative. They will learn where willow comes from, and how it has been used for centuries. The activity helps develop fine motor skills, patience, how to follow instructions and to problem-solve.
By the end, each child leaves with a handmade creation and a sense of pride in what they’ve made.
Please note the cost of this workshop including VAT is €55.35 – booking fees will also apply
