Support Us

North Mayo Heritage Centre CLG is a not-for-profit social enterprise and registered charity. The majority of our funding comes through the Community Services Programme (CSP) which supports community companies and co-operatives to deliver local social, economic and environmental services that tackle disadvantage.

Through our work our aim is to preserve and promote the rich heritage of the region, support local communities, local jobs and volunteers.

There are many ways you can show your support, whether through a one-off donation, joining us as a Friend of North Mayo Heritage Centre, joining our growing team of volunteers, helping us promote the work we do or partnering with us on new initiatives which help us achieve our aims.

Volunteer with us

Volunteer with us

Our volunteers are incredibly important in supporting the work we do and we are always very grateful for every minute they give us. We have a variety of volunteering roles available throughout the year, both in the Centre and in our Organic Garden.

As well as office administration and reception volunteering opportunities, we also have a opportunities in our Organic Garden including general maintenance tasks, planting, weeding and harvesting. We also have opportunities for volunteers to help during our monthly Artisan Food and Craft Markets. Volunteering with a small charity like us means you’ll get to work closely with a small, passionate, dedicated team of people who work hard to make a difference. Your help is invaluable to us so whether you have time to volunteer weekly with regular tasks or one-off on an ad-hoc basis we’d love to have you join us when you can.

If you are interested in knowing more about our volunteering opportunities and the benefits they provide please contact us 3539631809 or email nmhreception2018@gmail.com

Our Supporters Overseas

Both historically and in more recent times, Mayo has a rich history of emigration. The Mayo diaspora has spread across the globe, but the ties and links with home persist through the generations.

We welcome Friends from overseas to our membership numbers, and extend the benefits of becoming an overseas ‘Friend of the North Mayo Heritage Centre’ to them.
